HUAWEI DATACARD connection problems on Ubuntu 12.04

Are you facing this problem? Well, I face it a lot.

But let me tell you clearly, this article is only targeted to solve the connection problem. It means it is properly installed and getting mounted.

So I tried to solve this problem by a very simple method. I don't know how many of you have also used this datacard on Windows platform but there if it gets disconnected, there is an option of "Redial". As there is no proper user interface on Linux, so this "Redial" option is not available.

Though, you can always try :)

In my title bar, there is a network manager sign, through which we manage connections.

Step I: As soon as we insert the datacard, an option shows up in the network manager - Enable Mobile broadband. You need to check it.

Step II: Your network name(SIM name) is showing in the manager, click on it.

Step III: Keep repeating these steps until it gets connected. Have patience, it will get connected. Its the "Redial" :)

P.S : At step III, if you fail, then its important to first - un-check Enable Mobile broadband and then recheck it again. UN-checking is important
i.e

Disable -> Re-enable -> Click on Your network name -> Wait for it(then try again)
